Cry-gate, Nani-gate and all the other MESSIng around

Under the advice of the Lethario's Take legal team, Mr Jbswash would like to categorically deny that Lethario's Take has been partaking in the Manchester United media blackout after rumours linking the blog to the media boycott. We would however like to voice our support for Manchester United as a team and organization. Thank You.

When I asked for more drama at the end of the post on Friday, I never expected to get so much of it. The  last couple of days would make Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon jealous so in honour of their scandals, we  have Cry-gate, Nani-gate, Fabri-gate, Carri-gate, Bangla-gate, Charlie-gate.......lmao...ok, Im sure you get the picture!!! Plus the Special One, Jose Mourinho was nearly stabbed after the Malaga game last week, thank goodness he is OK. SHOCKING

On a  positive note Congrats to Arsene Wenger for wining the Barclay's Premier League Manager of the month. Its a pity he his team still got knocked out of the UEFA Champions league. Hats off to the mercurial soldier that is Scott Parker for picking up West Ham out of the bottom 3 the award for Player of the month. Congrats to Mr Wenger again on his joining the cast of Special 1 Tv.......credit to the "Voyeur"!!!

When Sir Alex's approach failed, the Heat cried for their mommies!!

The Miami Heat loss to the Chicago Bulls had most followers of the NBA in smiles and cheers at the collapes of the league's most hated team!!! What followed post-game in the locker rooms, "Cry-gate", had fans, haters, coaches and pundits laughing even more!! It  is said LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade certain members of the Heat team were crying like little babies from the frustration of the loss. Jeff Van Gundy ever so merciless and thoughtful put it best by saying, "My suggestion would be if you don't want the scrutiny, you don't hold a championship celebration before you've even practiced together. It's hard to go out yourself and invite that kind of crowd and celebration and attention, and then when things aren't going well, sort of bemoan the fact that you're getting that attention. To me, that doesn't follow." WISE WORDS

I guess the useless Big 3 of Miami should make way for the real Big 3 of New York The Knicks are on the rise and looking good for the playoffs. Congrats to my personal vote for MVP and future legend Derrick Rose for another stellar performance and credit to the Boston Celtics for saving the weekend with another good win. LeBron vs Rose....comments anyone????

Nani-gate and Carri-gate went hand in hand as Manchester United suffered humiliation at Anfiled. Nani set up Kuty for the second Liverpool goal ( WHAT WAS HE THINKING OR DOING??) before being awarded by Jammie Carragher with a kung-fu chop that would make Bruce Lee and Nigel de Jong green with jealousy!!! The Nani reaction was over the top and melodramatic, it was a derby for Pete's sake.....MAN UP lad!! I guess he was trying to erase his earlier assists for the second goal but I was not buying it.

Lord knows what a player has to do to earn a red card against Manchester United these days. Suarez was definitely the player of the weekend, another great January purchase ( what is happening Torres? 50 million??). The way he weaved through the shambolic United defence almost had me cheering for him before I remembered he was the idiot who got Ghana knocked out of the 2010 World Cup with his own hand of God, lest I forget...he is a Scouser!!!

THIS IS HOW THEY DO IT!!!!

Messi, Fabregas and Van Pussy Persie linked up well to make sure Arsenal's trophy drought continues. Maybe Arsenal are vampires with the way they seem to shun silver!!! A lot of Gunner fans were up in arms blaming the referee for a stupid second yellow card , which it was, but let's face it...... RVP's petulance and silly tackle ( though he was provoked beforehand) that had earned him the first yellow card was even more foolish. An example of the Arsenal boys lacking composure in big game situations. Cesc, not wanting to be outdone, took first prize on the night with a back heel straight into Iniesta's legs that would have made even Nani jealous!!! I guess he really does think he is already a Barca player.

Only SILVERWARE scares us off Arsenal's players!!!!

Messi was at his usual best, majestically mesmerizing us with his skills and touch as he ran through and past tackles as if he was a ghost going through walls. Arsenal did defended well throughout the night  but were no match for Barcelona. 0 shots on target against 12 shots by Barca shows they were against the wall and fighting a losing battle.

Next stop for them is Old Trafford!!!!The game promises fireworks as both teams aim to bounce back from bad performances and keep silverware hopes alive.

See why Mourinho parked the Airbus Arsene????

The Cricket World Cup still is hopelessly having to compete with real interesting sports but even they too provided us with a scandal as the Bangladeshi fans stoned the West Indies bus after they had been humbled and bowled out for 58 runs to eventually lose by 9 wickets. Meanwhile England produced an astonishing comeback in the World Cup to beat South Africa by six runs in Chennai.

Charlie sheen got officially fired from Two and a Half Men but we all know he is still WINNING!!

Finally Lethario's Take is looking for assistance from any well learned and articulate Super Rugby fans with help for our rugby section. I would welcome pieces on the games so as to cater for our rugby fans. Anyone wishing to contribute please inbox me on Facebbok through the link on the profile page of the blog!!

BUT SERIOUSLY, Nani and Fabregas.....WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? WHAT WERE YOU TRYING TO DO????

scandalous I tell ya!!!
that's Lethario's Take

  1. Arsenal played a better team, were totally outplayed but the tactics were good for an 11 man team not 10 you cover more yards wen u are less

  2. That's true. i guess RVP is to blame for that. I think Arsene sitting Fabregas a bit deeper was another mistake becasue even tho he defended well, the attack was choked up leaving RVP alone and frustrated!! Two away goals were possible and you kinda sensed the team had given up at the end with the lack of urgency in the last 6 minutes!! but great game all the same

  4. totally agree with u Allan..Dat Ref was bought...i have a conspiracy theary that UEFA LOVES Barca and will do anything and EVERYTHIN 2 make sure they make the Final, Chelsea penalties, Inter Milan dramas and last nyts ref...Nani needs to man up and stop the melodrama.....its tha reason Refs dont give decisions his way....i mean he got up, ran to the ref and then fell on the ground again crying....it gives Football and United a bad name worldwide
