The Future in Brazil

So we are BACK...Lethario's Take was away on the International Break ... now people know how I feel without my Barclay's Premier League weekends. But for once, the break has brought to light some exciting young rich arrogant prospects of the future as well as bored us with the painful Euro 2012 qualifiers. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for it, but I somehow always feel the games are a bit unfair and lack much battling ......almost as if the players can not wait to get back to their clubs!!!

For last weeks unavailable post and a brief run of the news we missed...click on the The Lost Post...22 March 2011

Since we are on a look down memory lane, how about some classic Thierry Henry to brighten up you week

The Lost Post...22 March 2011

A new but old England captain, a new Chelsea star and the renewal in Chelsea's title ambitions along with the same old Torres goal drought ( 50 million to waste anyone)........Lethario's Take.  In football, a two week International break has begun. A belated Happy Independence to Namibia who gained their Independence after 75 years of South African rule in 1990. Also a belated Happy Birthday to my friend Charles  the Butcher of Kuala Lumpur who shared the birthday (21 March) with Ronaldinho, Ronald Koeman and Lothar Matthäus.

Last weekend provided more drama than your average soap opera as well as more action than a typical Matt Damon action film.  With De Jong at his usual best with kung fu skills to make Jet Li green with envy, Alminia and Arsenal provided humour for the comedy lovers!! Rumour has it, Arsenal will no longer use "The

Lockout in a DROUGHT and a Draw in the Battle of the captians

Friday once again. I can't even complain about it being "to soon" because one can never have too many Fridays. If Friday were a hot chick, Monday would be her fat friend!! At Lethario's Take, Friday is a 5 match ban for Sir Alex, the NFL lockout, the UEFA Champions League draw, Arsenal re-signing Jens Lehman, the battle for the England football captaincy, and the noisy neighbours and LOSERpool exiting the Europa League ....basically anything but boring!! .

An in depth Lethario's Take:

Beautiful football, a Van and twin terrors!!

Japan was devastated by a terrible earthquake and tsunami on Friday and I hope we are all doing all we can to support, be it through prayer, physical or financial aid during their time of need. May God be with them all in this terrible time.

A friend of mine recently wrote a Facebook status saying he had given up Arsenal for lent!! It explains the frustration Arsenal fans must feel. I'm sure Arsenal fans are sick of defending their trophy-less run to opposing fans.

And then there was one!! 13 days ago, Arsene Wenger confidently contemplated a challenge for four trophies as his most emphatic answer to charges that Arsenal had forgotten how to win silverware. It seems "beautiful football" has once again forgotten the main goal in football and sport as a whole, WINNING!! Winning games which leads to winning titles, trophies and awards. Beauty as some would say, is only skin deep.

Over the last 6 years, we have been  pummeled with the phrase "beautiful football" as the reason and excuse why Arsenal were not winning silverware. It seemed Arsene Wenger,

That AINT WINNING!!!!!

AN unconventional Lethario's Take as we look back on the last few days in sport that had us wondering why these atheletes get paid so much and end up determining our moods. Gaddafi and Charlie Sheen are deemed crazy or irrational but some of our sporting heroes and role models are not to far off if you ask me.
                            ITS ALL ABOUT WINNING

In the words of the great warlock himself, "THAT AINT WINNING" is our focus in this post. According to Charlie Sheen, this pertains to any form of behaviour that is the oppisite of his WINNING and BiWinning  philosophy, theory and way of life. Here is our take on those "that aint winning":

Cry-gate, Nani-gate and all the other MESSIng around

Under the advice of the Lethario's Take legal team, Mr Jbswash would like to categorically deny that Lethario's Take has been partaking in the Manchester United media blackout after rumours linking the blog to the media boycott. We would however like to voice our support for Manchester United as a team and organization. Thank You.

When I asked for more drama at the end of the post on Friday, I never expected to get so much of it. The  last couple of days would make Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon jealous so in honour of their scandals, we  have Cry-gate, Nani-gate, Fabri-gate, Carri-gate, Bangla-gate, Charlie-gate.......lmao...ok, Im sure you get the picture!!! Plus the Special One, Jose Mourinho was nearly stabbed after the Malaga game last week, thank goodness he is OK. SHOCKING

On a  positive note Congrats to Arsene Wenger for wining the Barclay's Premier League Manager of the month. Its a pity he his team still got knocked out of the UEFA Champions league. Hats off to the mercurial soldier that is Scott Parker for picking up West Ham out of the bottom 3 the award for Player of the month. Congrats to Mr Wenger again on his joining the cast of Special 1 Tv.......credit to the "Voyeur"!!!

Melodrama in Manchester, another dramatic Friday

1st of...BIG UP and thank you to all those supporting the blog!! With views from all over the world, either im forcing you all really bad or you are liking it....either way, Im smiling and writing!!!

Now, will you reconsider the offer and READ MY BLOG?

Friday....where would we be without this awesome day. I think even Barney Stinson would agree Friday is more awesome than him. Today is all about drama and melodrama with Manchester, the city, taking the prize ahead of other contenders!!

Sir Alex was charged by the F.A. for the comments he made about the bias cheating referee after the game at Pensioner's bridge. With a 2 match ban hanging over from a previous charge, it is not looking good for Our Leader who has decided to boycott talking to MUTV!!! This is because footage from an interview he gave MUTV was used as evidence in pressing charges against him.

Humble Pie is not on the menu

Many Chelsea fans have been contacting me to write another blog since I seem to have offended them with the previous one Much ado about NOTHING. Many of my  Chelsea supporting friends ( frenemies)  believe I will eat humble pie and say Chelsea deserved to win or that Manchester United is crumbling, but if know Lethario.....then you will know that you might as well as hope for an apology and resignation from Gaddafi being aired on CNN  minutes after Charlie Sheen's apology to Chuck Lorre and CBS!

                                                             Dueces

I wont dwell too deep on the controversy of the penalty which won the game for Chelsea or the sending off that should have happened when David Luiz clearly fouled Rooney before the "penalty". The facts speak for themselves when it comes to Martin Atkinson who controversially refereed the corresponding fixture at Stamford Bridge last season.

Much ado about NOTHING

Since Saturday 18 December when the this match was postponed to 1 March, the hype about Chelsea vs Manchester United on Tuesday has been huge with both sets of fans eager to silence the other. Everyone from the players, pundits , managers and fans have been talking up the match. With both clubs having shared the last 6 Barclay's Premier League titles between them (3 each), what SHOULD have been a title deciding fixture is really just another mid-week clash.

The truth is when the GREAT Manchester United step out at Stamford bridge in London today, not much is up for stake except the pure pride of a loss/shame of a defeat. All the same I will be cheering for a United win at the bridge as nothing pleases me more than adding insult to injury when it comes to rival teams like Liverpool, Man City and Cheslea!!!

Either way I predict a draw as United's away form has been frustrating, to say the least, this season and I foresee Sir Alex adopting his Champion's league formation to quell any possible attacking threat by Ancelotti's men.
