Last minute $$$$PENDING

So, I NEVER blogged about that 8-2 mauling of Arsenal...WHY?? Because I actually felt sorry for them.It would have been like bragging about killing Bambi...SO SO WRONG

                                                      The thrashing WORKED!!!

So no International break talk from me, just gonna do a Lethario's Take on the Transfer Window MADNESS.

Carlos Tevez must feel like a right idiot!!! I really would like to ask him how he feels now that it is clear NOBODY wants to sign him.

As a reporter put it, "Why would you leave your Christmas shopping til the evening of the 24th ?" I think in Arsene's case it would be because everyone bought way better presents than you and you finally accepted it!! Enough bashing, I'm sure the Gooners over it now!!

Arsenal hustled real hard those last days of the window after that thrashing!! In a way I feel Arsenal fans owe Manchester United a favour for that thrashing because I feel it may have saved you all a TERRIBLE season. Arteta is their best buy in my eyes. He may be a poor man's Cesc or Nasri but he delivers and scores too. That was something they lacked when they last played at Old Trafford. Gervinho was a great buy too as he fits in perfectly with their style of play and quick interchanging of positions. Im glad Arsene also finally got a big defender in Mertesacker although his lack of pace may be a problem.
A TYPICAL Barclay's Premier League transfer request!!

My prediction is if they can deal with the discipline issues, get a few wins under their belt as well as STOP defending so high this season my not be as lost as many say. Truth be told, they COULD win the title........... ( pardon me I HAD TO laugh at that!!) but realistically I predict 4th/5th for them.

No need to mention Manchester United besides the fact that the club has announced a record annual operating profit of 110.9 million pounds. Congrats on that.

Manchester City still manage to be a thorn. They signed SICK NOTE Hargreaves on a free. Honestly I had wished the lad the best in finding a club but him signing to the noisy neighbours makes him DEAD TO ME. How ungrateful of him after all United did for him standing by him through all those injuries. Oh well....who needs him anyway??? City managed to rid themselves of Mancini's Unwanted ( Bellamy, SWP and Adebayor).

Liverpool did some last minute dealing of their own bring back GOLF CLUB SWINGER striker Bellamy in from Manchester City. Let's hope Craig sticks to scoring goals rather than late night drunken escapades and brawls with boxer Stevie G and drunkard Andy Carroll!! Their best bit of business though was offloading excess players like Joe Cole who ran away to France, Ngogg sold to Bolton and other excess players so as to reduce the wage bill and team numbers. I feel bad for Joe Cole though, who truly had a horrific season at Liverpool despite him being a good forward! Best of luck to him at Lille.
I am hurt, the Chelsea physio will the best for me!!

Chelsea managed to add another aging player to their squad!! Meireles managed to join Stamford bridge after handing in a transfer request at Liverpool. Add that to their other midfield purchases and I feel they have added some speed to their relatively aging midfield which was VISIBLY SLOW against Norwich. Juan Mata looks like he will link up well with the vibrant Ramires.

Stoke and manager Tony Pulis were the biggest bargain hunters of last few hours of the window managing to secure Crouch and Jerome who will add quality to their already improving squad. They could be the surprise of this season in terms of shock results versus big teams. Tony Pulis has turned them from relegation battlers to seasoned EPL veterans doing business to improve their squad with quality seasoned Premier League players.

Kudos to Steve Bruce and Sunderland who were also bargain hunting the whole way and manged to add quality and experience. Tony Fernandes RM from Malaysia bankrolled a spending spree at Queens park Rangers.

Transfer Deadline day quotes

Truth is this will be hard season in the Barclay's Premier League. Besides all the trash talking of rival clubs, all teams managed to make good buys and add quality, youth and experience to their squads. BRING BACK THE BPL NOW....we do not care for these qualifiers and friendlies. I am sure we all want to see the new signings play.

The Rugby World Cup 2011 starts this weekend!!!!! GO ALL BLACKS!! New Zealand have to break this Rugby World Cup curse and win it at home!  Talk about sports overdose if you include the US Open and all the constant F1 drama......no time for those. Too tired from wheeling and dealing like Stoke and Sunderland agents!!
