No need for introductions though...between Dirk and Jenson I had a hard time choosing who would be the star of this post until my utter HATE and LOATHING of LeBron James made it too easy!!!
Well done Dirk
YES YES YES YES....I don't care about being impartial. Go on and quote me, I hate LeBron James and am HAPPY he did not win a ring. You know what they say in the NBA, you can be good but you are never great until you have that ring, kind of reminds me of some of those super hot girlfriends people have had in the past who are soon forgotten when he puts the ring on one lady!!!
Dallas Mavericks captured their first NBA title with a 105-95 victory over Miami Heat winning the best-of-seven NBA Finals 4-2. Guard Jason Terry scored 27 points in Miami and German star Dirk Nowitzki added 21 for the Mavericks, who won four of the series' last five games. Talk about class being permanent after the temporary form of the Miami Heat had faded. The win was the sweetest revenge for Mavericks fans after seeing the Heat win their first title in Dallas in game six in 2006. Mavericks forward Nowitzki was named the Finals' most valuable player (MVP).
Big girls dont cry!!! HAHAHAHA
So the Mavs FINALLY popped their cherry and won a NBA Championship! I guess this means Dirk and the Mavs will always remember the Miami Heat and their so called "
STAND UP and APPLAUD Jenson Button. The man literally went from last to first in what I must say has been the best race I have seen him in since his wining season in 2009/2010.
Was it really Jenson driving yesterday???
The McLaren driver came from last place to first in the space of 30 amazing laps on a track that, while it regularly produces the best race of the Formula 1 season, has never produced a race quite like this one.
It will surely go down as one of the most amazing grands prix in history and Button's performance matched it.
For more than half the race, Button appeared completely out of contention: He collided with team-mate Lewis Hamilton - an incident for which he apologised even though it appeared to be at least as much Hamilton's fault; made five pit stops to change tyres; survived a collision with Ferrari's Fernando Alonso; and visited the pits a further time to serve a drive-through penalty for going too fast when the safety car was deployed.
But his pure class showed as he sliced through the backmarkers with the clinical precision he displays when he is on top form. The race was also saw legend Michael Schumacher with his highest finish since his return as he came in 4th behind the Red Bull team of Vettel and Webber respectfully. Congrats Schumi. Despite Button's win, Red Bull's domination this season is clear for all to see.
Meanwhile in the world of football the transfer season has seen my beloved Manchester United show determination to rebuild quickly so they can maintain and improve on their success this season. with 3 purchases so far, I must say I am impressed with Sir Alex's resolve to never settle for second best and always strive to improve and be better. Ashley Young, David de Gae and Phil Jones ( his transfer is looking a little more secured today at an agreed price of £20 mil).
On a side note, I found it funny how Young called off his wedding just after signing for United, I guess he had to revise his pre-nup ( Wise lad). King Kenny has also been doing business early having signed Henderson from Sunderland. Rumor has it United are in the early stages of talks with Arsenal ace Nasri as well as the usual whispers of a takeover by the Qatar royal family ( PLEASE happen).
McLeish quit Birmingham to probably take over at Aston Villa but Birmingham have PROMISED lega action if this happens. Elsewhere McClaren took over as manager at Nottingham Forest, good luck with that job Steve.
As for the Giggs story, all I will say is its old news. The lad is great player and people should not judge him for his short comings. We all have flaws. The truth is his brother should be mad at his wife as word is she also slept with Yorke and two other UNKNOWN United players ( Simpson and Bardsley)..Can someone plese say WHORE.
NOT GUILTY: WHAT?? She did Yorke too mate??
Welcome back to the Williams sisters who are back after a long injury lay off. Great time to return with Wimbledon round the corner.
Good 2 be back, see you soon
